JANUARY 1, 2012

I hope the new year’s arrival was kind to you. I enjoyed New Year’s Eve in my room trying to get rid of some kind of bug. However, always trying to make lemon pie out lemons, I enjoyed myself as I watched the great Kentucky/Louisville basketball game, two movies I wanted to catch up on, finish an excellent book, Water for Elephants, and reorganized my closet for the upcoming two weeks.

I love watching Louisville and Kentucky basketball. It is always so much fun to watch Louisville’s scrappy players go up against the mountain-sized Kentucky team. Though my personal favorite did not quite pull it off this year, it’s hard to feel any loss when your home town plays your home state.

After catching George Clooney’s Descendants last week, I caught up with George Clooney’s Ides of March and Johnny Depp’s Rum Diaries last night. What can I say, I have to be loyal to my Kentucky “cousins” and the fact that they are sweet to look at and usually produce great movies are nice perks.

The weather is fabulous here, and I plan to sit in the sun a bit and let its healing rays help me out.
But enough about me.  What exciting things do you have planned for 2012?
