Vacation ~ 2013-1215

Thoughts from Gary Zukav on Love and Romance:

Falling in love (romantic love) with someone is falling in love with the characteristics that you have in yourself. Romance is the projection of beautiful qualities within yourself  onto another person.  It is looking for another person to bring into your life what you need and have for yourself but want from another person. You are attracted to someone to cultivate your own desires.  Disillusionment happens when you begin to see the real person.

Romance is not love. Romantic love is going to die. True love is far deeper, more powerful, and doesn’t wear off like romance does. True love is making a life together and living in the now, not in the fantasy.
