Influence to lift others up

From Pastor Charles Neiman:

To be influential, lift others up by

  1. empowering them
  2. encouraging them
  3. being excited when they succeed
  4. lifting the ceiling off their lives so they stand up and grow taller

You do this by being

I – involved in them to inspire them

N – noticing opportunities to be an influence

F – faithfully being their friend; don’t close doors or burn bridges

L – loving and longsuffering; you can’t influence a person if you don’t love them, and aren’t long temperred

U – upright (righteous, honest, just)

E – excellent (doing the best you can with what you’ve got where you’re at)

N – nonjudging

C – confident and calm

E – edifying for everyone  (be on their side)
