Finishing strong

From Pastor Charles Neiman:

Look  for beauty where others don’t; Look for opportunities in problems.

Put your heart into everything you do with a sense of urgency.

Pursue a restless quest for justice.

Be a leader

  • be taken out early
  • finish poorly
  • crawl across the finish line

  • finish strong
  • be careful of traps (immorality, money, neglected family)
  • be accountable to someone or some group
  • continue to learn
  • have a friend who will “jerk the slack out of your rope” and “get in your face”  when you need it

People who finish strong stay

  • in
  • close
  • alert

“Big screw ups always come from much practice in compromise.”
