Writing format for articles and reports

Title is to be placed on the upper half of the paper and centered; to be no more than 12 words and written in Upper and lower case letters.

Author’s byline is to be First name, Middle initial, and Last name, centered. Do not list any titles or degrees. List the affiliation under the name. If no affiliation, list city and state.

Introduction to begin without a heading, just begin the text.

All other section headings will begin without starting a new page, except References. References will begin on a new page.

Example 1:

TITLE

First MI Last

City, State

This report will include findings for……..

Method

Results

Discussion

Page break

References

If any of your sections have sub-headings,  use the following style format:

Example 2:

Section Heading

 First sub-heading

          Second sub-heading.

          Third sub-heading.
