Buffalo – did you know….

Did you know Buffalo is home to the
inventor of air conditioning? (William Carrier, 1902). Ironic isn’t it.
creator of Kraft mac and cheese? (James Kraft, 1902).
creator of Jell-O (Carpenter LeRoy Waite, 1897).
creator of the coffee break which was also the creator of the Barcalounger.

Did you know Buffalo is
the 11th snowiest city in the United States.
the 37th windiest city in the United States.
not on the top 10 of the coldest cities.

Did you know that every Christmas since 1985 Santa Claus goes windsurfing on Niagara River?

During the blizzard of 1985 the mayor’s advice was, “Stay inside, grab a six-pack, and watch a football game.” It’s been standard advice ever since. Most Buffalonians do not believe a storm is a reason to panic, it’s a reason to party. During the day, shovel, then nap, then during the night, party. Repeat.

When Buffalonian Luann Harley met President Barack Obama she said, “You’re a hottie with a smokin’ little body.”
