Surrender Personal Will to Divine Will

Chakra 5 is located in the throat and covers thyroid, trachea, esophagus, parathyroid, hypothalamus, neck vertebrae, throat, mouth, jaw and teeth. Primary fears include having no authority or power of choice over our lives, first within our family, our tribes, our groups, and then within our personal and professional relationships. It includes having no authority with ourselves, being out of control when it comes to substances, food, money, power or another’s control over our emotional well being. And we fear the Will of God. Primary strengths include faith, self-knowledge, personal authority, the capacity to make decisions and keep our word to ourselves and others.

Chakra 5 is the center of choice and consequences. Every choice you make, every thought and feeling you have is an act that will have consequences to you personally, biologically, environmentally, socially and even globally.  What choices would you make if you could actually see their consequences?

The essence of Chakra 5 is faith. Having faith commits energy to the idea, the person, the project. With the commitment of the energy, your mind, your heart, your life, becomes interwoven into the consequences. Chakra 5 teaches you how to use your will and records the directives you give to spirit. Releasing your will to Divine guidance may result in difficult situations with great insight. Thus our faith and power of choice becomes creation itself, causing our lives to move into directions we never anticipated. How?

1. Make no judgments

2. Have no expectations

3. Give up the needs to know why things happen as they do

4. Trust that unscheduled events of your life are a form of spiritual direction

5. Have the courage to make the choices you need to make.
