Increasing Aerobic Exercise

 exercise

To increase metabolism and promote weight loss and healthier living, my goal is aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes 6 days a week because I truly believe in honoring a day of rest. Below is a suggestion from Dr. Phil McGraw in his weight-loss book a few years ago. If I cannot sustain 30 minutes each day for 6 days a week, I’ll work toward these goals:

  •  Week 1 – 2 days of walking for 20 minutes
  • Week 2 – 3 days of walking for 30 minutes
  • Week 3 – 4 days of walking for 30 minutes
  • Week 4 – 4 days of walking for 30 minutes
  • Week 5 – 5 days of walking for 30 minutes
  • Week 6 – 5 days of walking for 45 minutes
  • Week 7 – 6 days of walking for 45 minutes
  • Week 8 – 6 days of walking for 60 minutes
