RT VIII – Effective Business Practices for Motivation and Communication ~ Chapter 3

Going Green – Motivating Leaders to Embrace Environmental Sustainable Business Practices by Drs. Danielle Camacho and Jill Legare

As authors Camacho and Legare tell us, leaders play a critical role in the task of motivating and engaging employees. Motivation has three subsystems – leadership, environment, and personalities. Going green, corporate social responsibility, and greening of the workplace are three buzzwords in the work environment. They are often called the triple bottom line. Chapter 3 discusses ways to motivate employees with clear incentives to adopt green, sustainable processes by encouraging suggestions from employees at all levels of the organization.
