Change your lifestyle, change your genes

Change your genes to prevent disease, cancer, etc. and to enhance longevity. The real epidemic in America is not obesity, it is loneliness, depression, and isolation. Getting through the day with food, smoking or working too hard, numbs your emotional pain.

Health comes from the root – to make whole; to bring together. Intimacy is healing. Trust is healing. So meet hatred with love; meet fear with hope. The mind is the cause and the body is the effect. Weight issues are fear where love is blocked. As your mind lets go of the fear, your body lets go of the weight. Listen to the whispers so they don’t become screams.

Love is who you are. The power of love is perfect, creative, self-organizing, healthy, self-healing, and abundant. Sometimes we need to admit the darkness within us, and sometimes we need to admit the light within us.

You can play it (your journey) shallow or you can play it deep. People with weight issues form an idolatrous relationship with food. You must realize that food cannot nurture you emotionally. Unhealthy eating is an act of self-hate; it is a violent act against you. Your body is meant to be a reflection of your spirit. Simply allow yourself to fall in a gentle place.
